Material expertise

CREAMEDTEC® composite materials are excellently suited for clinical applications compared to conventional plastic and metallic materials.

Composites
of a special kind.

CREAMEDTEC® products not only absorb less moisture than conventional plastic, but can also be sterilized several times (steam, ethylene oxide, gamma radiation). The composite material used has a higher strength with a significantly lower weight compared to metallic materials. It is therefore suitable
is excellent for clinical applications.

Overview of selected Createc composite products

Creamedtec® 1475

CREAMEDTEC® 1475 is an advanced continuous carbon fiber/PEEK composite material manufactured by compression molding. CREAMEDTEC® 1475 is specifically designed to meet the extreme technical requirements of medical trauma devices and is ideal as a metal replacement due to its high strength, dimensional stability, light weight and corrosion resistance.

Creamedtec® UD

CREAMEDTEC® UD is an advanced, modified long fiber carbon composite material manufactured by compression molding. CREAMEDTEC® UD is specifically designed to meet the extreme technical requirements of medical traumatology, and its high strength and dimensional stability make it ideal for replacing metal where radiolucency and repeated autoclaving are required. CREAMEDTEC® UD is designed to replace complex parts while offering greater design freedom, lower cost and lighter weight.

Creamedtec® 5050

CREAMEDTEC® 5050 is a modified carbon fiber/PEEK composite material manufactured by transfer or injection molding and used for a variety of demanding orthopedic instruments. CREAMEDTEC® 5050's strength and dimensional stability make it ideal for replacing metal where radiolucency and autoclaving are required. CREAMEDTEC® 5050 is designed for injection molded thick carbon fiber composite parts with freely formed surfaces.

Creamedtec® 134

CREAMEDTEC® 134 is an advanced, long-fiber carbon fiber composite material manufactured by a pultrusion process. CREAMEDTEC® 134 was developed specifically for the extreme technical requirements of medical technology and is ideal as a metal substitute due to its high flexural and torsional stiffness, dimensional stability, low weight and corrosion resistance. CREAMEDTEC® 134 is recommended for complex parts such as stabilizing and fixation devices where X-ray transmission and high overall strength are required.
